Evariste galois
Evariste Galois was a French Mathematician born in Bourg-la-Reine. Though he is a back performing students in school, early at the age of 17, he found solution for the fundamental discoveries in the theory of polynomial.
He was the founder of the Galois theory and Group theory, two major branches of abstract algebra and the sub field of Galois Connections. He was the first mathematician to use the term 'group' in mathematics, to represent a group of permutations and now its called as Galois group.
Galois theory states that the polynomial equation could be solved in radicals , if we find the series of sub groups each one normal in its successor with abelian quotient (abelian is the operation that combines two elements), or its Galois group is solvable.
Galois died of tuberculosis at the early age of 26. Before two days of his death, he seriously spent the whole night outlining his mathematical ideas in a detailed letter to his friend, Auguste Chevalier. Though he died, his legacy lived on the term abelianwhich become a common place for discussing the concepts like abelian group, abelian category and abelian variety in the later days.
